You have to be careful with any product - try before you buy if possible and have a layered approach. Your mileage with these endpoint products will vary and they need tuning to your apps. The Sophos version we used was up to version 9, when it came to renewal on price alone the Symantec was a better deal and they had just released capability for Macintosh for their 12.1 product.Īlthough our license did end up on v10 for Sophos we had already started migrating so I have no idea for performance under this version, however I had issues with our Mac environment with the v9 product and the Adobe/Esko plugins we have in place. I'll qualify my initial post a little better. I don't think its too clever of Symantec not to offer the cloud option for the Mac side, but there you go.
